What are the different accommodation options?
We offer four types of lodging facilities:
2 beds rooms
4 beds rooms
20 beds barracks
4 matrasses tents
Rooms include showers, toilets, and bathrooms (some attached, some shared)
What are the toilets like?
Sitting toilets are available as common toilets. All attached bathrooms have sitting toilets, equipped with both toilet paper and water.
Is it cold/hot during the night?
Bogor is known for its mild climate. During the conference period, the temperature is usually comfortable. Nights can be cooler, so warm quilts and extra blankets will be provided if needed

What kind of food should I expect?
A variety of options will be available, including buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu will feature Indonesian, Southeast Asian, and continental dishes, catering to both those who enjoy spicy food and those who prefer milder options.
Will there be vegetarian dishes?
Yes, vegetarian dishes will be available
What about drinking?
Drinking is prohibited within the Inagro venue. However, a designated area near the venue is set up where you can enjoy drinks.
Visa to Indonesia
Do I need a Visa to travel to Indonesia?
Yes, citizens from most countries require a visa to travel to Indonesia. However, nationals of certain countries may be eligible for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival. For detailed information, please visit the Indonesian Immigration website: Indonesia Immigration.
How can I acquire an Indonesia visa?
For most countries, you can obtain a Visa on Arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. You can also apply for a visa at the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your home country before your trip. If you opt for a Visa on Arrival, be prepared to wait in a queue, and remember to fill out an Arrival Card before proceeding to the visa counter.
Can I apply for an online visa?
Yes, to avoid potential queues upon arrival, you can apply for an e-Visa online before your trip. Visit the official Indonesian Immigration website to apply: Indonesia e-Visa. The processing time for an online visa can be up to 15 days, so it’s advisable to apply early.
What are the different tourist visa tariffs?
The Visa on Arrival fees at entry points are:
- 30 Days – 35 USD
- 60 Days – 70 USD (extendable for an additional 30 days)
Please ensure you have the correct amount in USD or the equivalent in Indonesian Rupiah.

How do I get to Jakarta?
From the west: Most flights connect through major hubs in the Middle East, such as Dubai, Doha, or Abu Dhabi, where you can easily catch a connecting flight to Jakarta.
From the south: Flights often connect through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Sydney, from where you can fly directly to Jakarta.
Where should I fly?
The main international airport in Jakarta is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK). The airport is approximately 30 kilometers away from the conference venue in Jakarta.
Are There any other way to get to Jakarta?
Yes, you can also reach Jakarta by land or sea from neighboring countries like Malaysia or Singapore, though flying is generally the most convenient option.
Where should I exit at the airport?
Where should I exit at the airport? There are multiple terminals at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Once you've collected your baggage and cleared customs, follow the signs to the main exit, where the conference team will be waiting to receive you, provided you have informed us of your arrival.
How will I get to the Vanue?
The conference team will pick you up at the airport. There is no extra fee for pick-up and drop-off; we have it all covered. Please send us your arrival details as early as possible to ensure a smooth transfer. Use the free WiFi at the airport to contact us once you arrive. You can also purchase a SIM card at the airport exit or after reaching the venue.
What sort of vehicle will receive us at the airport?
The pick-up could be a taxi, a private car, or a mini-tourist van, depending on the number of participants arriving with you.
How do I find my accommodation after arrival at the vanue?
The conference team will be waiting for you at the conference site in Jakarta. They will guide you to your room/accommodation based on your booking. Get refreshed—we have tea/coffee and snacks ready for you.
Should I be worried about my safety?
Jakarta is a generally safe city, with friendly locals and low crime rates. We will provide an emergency contact number for your convenience, and we recommend saving your nation’s embassy contact in your phone. Purchasing a SIM card at the airport or the conference venue is also recommended, particularly if you plan to explore Jakarta during your stay.
What are some phrases I should learn?
See our Bahasa Indonesia Language Basics to learn a little Indonesian before you come! It’s a wonderful language, and locals appreciate when foreigners make the effort. "Selamat datang" means "Welcome," and you can greet people by saying "Apa kabar?" (How are you?), to which they might respond, "Baik" (I'm good).
The Conference
What are the thins I should be aware of the conference vanue?
The conference venue is within a community area, and we request that you respect local customs. Smoking and drinking may be restricted in certain areas, but designated spaces will be available for those who wish to do so.
Will there be interpreters?
We will not have official interpreters. However, during the conference, we can assist in finding someone who might volunteer as a translator.
Will events be canceled if there is bad weather?
The event is scheduled during one of the best times of the year in Bogor, with expected clear skies and pleasant weather. However, if it rains, the conference will continue as planned, with ample indoor space available.
Can I donate towards APDEC 2025?
Yes, donations are welcome and appreciated. Your contribution will help address immediate needs and support making APDEC 2025 an inclusive program for participants who might otherwise be unable to attend. Every donation helps to make the conference more participatory and inclusive.
